Located at the southern tip of Malaysia, it is a beautiful, modern city which is also friendly on the wallet.

A game at Laser Battle only costs about US$5/person (RM25). Grab a group of friends and go on a mission!

2) Hiang Kee Seafood Restaurant

Many Singaporean bloggers have raved about this seafood restaurant. They're famous for their Butter Crayfish, where pieces of lobsters are coated in delicious and crispy butter flakes. Don’t forget to get the Salted Egg Crab as well! The menu also includes Hot Plate Beancurd, Cereal Prawn and Prawn Paste Chicken. To be able to enjoy these delicacies in Singapore, most of us would have to scrimp for the rest of the week, but you do not need to do that in JB!

The seafood dishes have seasonal price tags. Based on various reviews, the average price for butter crayfish is 41RM while the average price for the Crab is 100RM. You can find the rest of the prices here:

Let’s order Butter Crayfish (41RM), Salted Egg Crab (100RM), Cereal Prawn (20RM), Prawn Paste Chicken (10RM), Onion Egg (6RM) and Oyster Baby Kailan (8RM). Our 6 course meal will be 185RM in total, which is only about US$41.

Assuming you’re there with 3 other friends, that’s merely US$10.25 each!

We’re at US$16.45 now. Let’s laze around in a movie theatre after our enjoyable meal. Take an Uber back to City Square mall (about US$1.20) and go to MMCineplexes, located on the 5^th floor.

3) Movie at MMCineplexes

Each movie ticket only costs you about US$4.10 (18RM). Embed yourselves in the comfortable seats and enjoy the show ^^

In sum, we’ve spent US$19.95 for a delightful day trip in JB.
