I decided to come study in Singapore because it’s the heart of SEA. During my 8 months here I met so many people from literally all over the world and I had the chance to get close to few locals, which taught me a lot about culture and food.

Moreover, I travelled around SEA, fell in love with Asian food and managed to get used to Singaporean hit. University is really different from my home university back in UK. The campus is big and sometimes I still need to follow signs to find my way to schools. The atmosphere here at SMU is cosy and pleasant: there is always something going on in the concourse: societies and food stands, people singing and dancing.

Academically speaking classes are conducted as seminars rather than lectures. You are expected to prepare before coming to class and speak up during discussions. Singapore and SMU have changed me a lot and have definitely broadened my horizons.
