I arrived in Sweden in January 2016. By some miraculousfluke I got to meet several other Singapore undergraduates (some were from NTU and NUS). Thereafter, they helped me create some of the best memories I've had in my life!

Together we pulled through the long and cold winter nights up north, and now we look forward to welcoming the midnight sun on Midsummer's Day.

If you love nature and taking long walks in parks, Uppsala is a fantastic place for you; if you love a slow-paced life, you'll love Uppsala; if you love seeing a lot of snow in winter, come to Uppsala. I am only a fan of the first one, but I've had a splendid time, because I've been in good company with the new friends I've made over winter. Treasure every moment of your time in Uppsala.

o those coming over to Sweden the next semester, please be mindful of this! Take risks! I live in a student district where people throw electrical appliances out the window every otother nightand at 10pm a chorus of people scream their heads off out their windows!

Make new friends - it's not the destination that matters, but who you meet that makes the difference (perhaps Flying Chalks is a good place to start)! Have fun and enjoy yourselves.
