Al-Ahliyya Amman University "AAU Started providing academic services in 1990, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) was the first private university and pioneer of private education in Jordan. AAU has been accorded institutional and programmatic accreditation. It is a member of the International Association of Universities, Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, Union of Arab Universities and Association of Arab Private Institutions of Higher Education. Best part of SIM GE is that we are provided with a conducive environment to study. There are facilities around the school everywhere so that we can study wither in group or individual. We are can book a study room to have discussion with friends as well. Also, school library extends its opening hours during the exam period. Furthermore, we do have many other involvement programs such as various CCA or “career connect” to help us out with employment. We do also have peer tutoring programs where seniors could help their juniors in their academic. Also, initially we had limited amount of food stores to consume but now we have subway and newly opened food court to facilitate all the students. Lastly, we also do have long holiday for UOL and we could have internship or overseas exposure by doing volunteer work or internship outside of Singapore. However, we do not have a tutorial session and only lecture is conducted. Hence, there is very limited time to ask lecturers and it is more of independent studies.

SIM is a great place to be! Getting to SIM is now made easier with the downtown line in place. SIM has a newly built indoor sports hall at Block C. Awesome! We often go there for our Netball trainings and matches Although food choices within the SIM campus are quite limited, our neighbour (Ngee Ann Poly) has a variety! Thankful for that! As a student studying under the UniSIM programme, the government subsidies was of great help in financing my studies. SIM's library may not be impressive, but it is conducive for studying and research! It can be made better with more plug points. The overseas programme and universities offered at "Summer abroad" is pretty good! My friends went for it! I am hoping to go for it one day too perhaps!

Best part about SIM, if you are new to Singapore, SIM Student Care organises orientation periodically to orientate you about Singapore, make friends and you can also seek advice and help from them when needed. Love the student lounge where it offers a relaxing ambience to chill, read books, mingle and play! As food range may not be that fantastic, we always go to Ngee Ann polytechnic (next door) for more variety + there is Starbucks within our school compound. What I like is that, our school has summer school exchange (and scholarship scheme) for us to expose vibrant study and living culture at other countries (depending on the courses you take in SIM which your school terms must not clashes with the exchange period).

Best part about SIM is that the night scenes (Holland Village) and good food (Al Azhar, Carpenters and Cook, Udders, Revelry) are easily accessible! Besides, it is has a range of buses that goes to many areas in Singapore. SIM is great as a whole but down side is that the bus stop is always packed and traffic is almost never smooth during peak hours leading to travel time of an hour or so, especially if you stay far away. On top of that, the food selection within campus is not wide. Given the 30 minutes' break between classes (often during the same time as all others), you'll only be able to get your hands on some snacks (or just drinks) due to the long queue. Plus, some lectures do not allow eating in class..
