Travel Insurance:
Other than citizens of Belgium, Norway and Sweden, all other students are required to have an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) that would provide for their medical and hospital insurance in Australia. OSHC can be purchased before arriving in Australia. Do note that you will only be granted a student visa if you purchase an OSHC.

Bupa covers unlimited emergency and ambulance treatment from recognised providers. It will provide a verification letter to aid you in your visa application, and a membership card will be posted to your address in Australia after you arrive there. If you take out insurance with BUPA or Allianz Global, many clinics will bill the cost of your consultation directly to the insurance company when you present your insurance card.
