Travel Insurance:
Unless other arrangements have been made (and approved by the university), International students are covered by the StudentSafe-University insurance policy.
In general, this means international students can visit any doctor on campus at Student Health Services or privately through an external medical practice outside of the university. Charges will vary depending on the provider and the time of your visit but you can expect the cost to be between NZ$70 and NZ$150, not including medicine or additional services (such as nursing care).
It is very important that you keep all receipts for medical care and medicines so you can claim the fees back your insurance cover. The international office will provide more information on this during the enrolment process.
