Accommodation 

1. Student Halls (University-managed Accommodation): Hung Hom Halls and Homantin Halls

All non-local students to PolyU can apply for accommodation at the Student halls. Do note however, they are subjected to availability.

Students going for exchange studies on the other hand, will be guaranteed a place at either of the Student halls. Find out more here.

Room types & rates: Double-occupancy en-suite rooms with bathroom (shared by 4 people). Shared kitchen facilities and common room per floor. Facilities include laundry rooms, swimming pool, band room, computer room, study rooms, game room, dance room, ping pong tables and gym, as well as dining hall and cafe facilities. Student rooms are equipped with LAN ports, air-conditioning and furniture. Cost for one semester: Approximately $6, 678 including Hall Caution fee ($500) which is refundable upon termination of hall residence, and Hall Function fee ($150).

Should you require any help, the Student Halls also provide counselling and tutoring support.

  1. Off-campus housing: Should rooms at Student Halls be unavailable, eligible exchange students may be assigned to Off-campus Housing, subject to availability. Those assigned to Off-campus Housing may choose to move to the Student Halls when there are vacancies in the Halls.

This option is normally for non-local students pursuing self-financed, taught-postgraduate degree or SYSU undergraduate programme. More information here.
