SMU will be the best choice for your exchange program. It’s almost 3 years since I came back from SMU, but it still remains strong in my memory. In accordance with the fame, it is one of the best place for your learning. Above all, you will meet passionate, smart and friendly classmates who are willing to communicate with you, and very enthusiastic professors, who will show you various ways of learning. Since here lots of students from all over the world gather to study, you will definitely have a chance to meet diverse cultures and people as well. Moreover, many student activities and club(I chose horse riding) will make your time even more pleasure. I’m sure that you will have one of the best periods in your university life here. Plus, the location is very good, connected to every centre area including Orchard, Bugis, and Clark Quay, so you will never get bored!

I spent one year as an exchange at SMU and I really enjoyed it. Besides the interesting courses SMU is a great choice because it is located in the center of Singapore. This way, as an exchange you can experience both the 'campus life' and the 'city life' which might be important to some (as it was really important to me).
Also students are really helpful and there are a lot of communities you can join during your stay - another reason I can recommend it.
The courses are based on an interactive approach: there are lots of project works, presentations and individual assignments - something that I really enjoyed compared to the more traditional approach where they rather want you to memorise things. But SMU is also a lot of work (only if your grades count), so do take that into consideration.
All in all I would highly recommend it, I had a fantastic year there and made a lot of local friends.

SMU, discover a different U! SMU has taught me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things that I have never imagined trying before. This attitude allows me to discover a different me.
Work hard and play hard!

SMU is a unique university where lectures are 100% seminar-based. Students are always encouraged to interact with their professors and classmates during lectures to create a better learning environment. Also, most of the modules include projects and presentations, where students will be tasked to work in groups or individually. Through these learning platforms, students will be more prepared for their career after graduation.
SMU also offer many student activities and clubs where students from different majors can get together and network. Participating in different activities/sports can definitely make school life more fun and exciting.

Choosing to study in SMU is one of the best decision I've ever made in my life! Of course it's very competitive and all that but whenever you are stressed, you can just go to various shopping malls close to SMU (The Cathay, Plaza Singapura, Raffles City, Bugis+, Bugis Junction, Pomo, etc) or just simply head out to amazing cafes around (Merely Ice Cream, Strictly Pancake, Daily Scoop, and many more). Best part of it is that there are A LOT of student clubs available (more than 100) ranging from dance club, sports club, arts club, to business-related club! So it's super easy for students, especially for exchange students, to adapt with the SMU lifestyle :)

The best part about studying in SMU is its centre location. Located at the heart of the city, SMU is probably the best choice for students who enjoys shopping, watching movies and having great food. SMU has a very vibrant university life, as you're ensured that the university always has many events for students to participate.

SMU has a really close-knit student community owing to its relatively small campus size, a curriculum that promotes interaction between students of different faculties, as well as a multitude of university-wide events and festivals. Apart from the many opportunities to meet and work with local students, you can also expect classes of rich cultural diversity as SMU has one of the highest percentage of international students.
I would say SMU is indeed a university that lives up to the "Work Hard. Play Hard" attitude.
