Accommodation:
- UCL halls
UCL halls offer both catered and non-catered options, for those who prefer to cook their own meals. More information is available at: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/accommodation. UCLSS also has an Accommodation Guide on their website, with comprehensive reviews of each hall. Do note that you can’t actually indicate a preference for the UCL hall of your choice, only characteristics of it, like a price range, room type, and catered/non-catered option.
- Intercollegiate halls
Intercollegiate halls house students from various University of London schools, including King’s College London, School of Oriental and African Studies and London School of Economics. The halls are catered with breakfast and dinner every day, and mealtimes are a good opportunity for you to mix with students from the other schools.
- Student houses
If you didn’t manage to get a place in a hall, or do not wish to stay in a hall, there are other student accommodations available such as International Students House (https://ish.org.uk/), Unite (http://www.unite-students.com/) or Urbanest (http://uk.urbanest.com/).
- Private accommodation
Otherwise, you might want to consider renting a flat. Property websites to check out include www.rightmove.co.uk and www.zoopla.co.uk, as well as www.spareroom.co.uk, if you’re just looking for a single room in a flatshare.
Flying Chalks’ tip: Check out various UCL societies’ Facebook groups for room rentals! Students might advertise their spare rooms for rent over summer, or some even for the whole year!

UCL is a vibrant university located in the heart of central London. A stone's throw away from Oxford Street, Regent's Park and Kings Cross, one is spoilt for choice whether it is shopping, finding green spaces to read a book or taking a weekend trip via the Eurostar. Be prepared to be immersed in a challenging academic environment, but also one where undergraduates are encouraged to pursue their interests outside their course of study.

UCL is conveniently situated in the heart of London. Come with an open mind and be prepared to be exposed to a variety of cultures, thoughts and philosophies. Discipline and a passion for learning are key if you want to make the most of your time here. With that being said, great food and entertainment are never too far away, and you can practically walk to anywhere in Central London from the main campus. You will never regret the memories you take away from your time here.

UCL is a vibrant university located in bustling central London. There are plenty of clubs and societies to join within the school, as well as activities in the surrounding areas - whether you're hunting for a good deal on Oxford Street, or simply chilling with your friends in one of the many parks in Bloomsbury. London might be a big city, but the bustle of city life and friendly faces in UCL help keep it warm and homely.
