Flying Chalks’ tip: For those on a budget, avoid buying food near La Catedral (The Cathedral) located at the center of the city as the food is much more expensive around this part of campus!

Flying Chalks’ recommendation: For those who would like a more enriching cultural experience and enjoy home-cooked meals at the same time, do consider living with a host family while you study abroad in Spain!

Getting around Universidad De Seville can be done by walking or cycling. As Europeans generally love to walk, other forms of transportation are typically only used when necessary. Hence, either be prepared to do a lot of walking or opt to rent a bike to travel around campus.

In addition, you will get to meet a lot of other students – both Spanish and international students – during the orientation program. It usually lasts for a week.

Buddy Programme

You can talk to the International Center about finding an “Intercambio.” This is someone whom you will have language exchange with, where you can learn Spanish from your partner and in return, teach them your first language! In addition, your Intercambio can also potentially be your local buddy who can show you around town!
