Hello. I have come to xian fanyi university (西安翻译大学) for the first semester of 2017. 4 months has already passed, and the semester is ending soon after the final exams~!

Because our school is located in the central area of Xi An, transportation is not as developed, but after adapting to this environment, it is not a problem at all. Also, the air is fresh compared to the cities, and the campus is beautiful. In addition, Chinese students are very innocent and nice, and so, I received a lot of help in many areas while we were staying. Currently, there are a total 18 Korean students, and we are all living together in the best facilitated and the most beautiful dormitory on campus. Therefore, I could quickly get close to the other Korean students, and we feel like a family now!

I had 3 things in mind when coming to this exchange: travel, friends and leisure. I love travelling so in the holidays I always tried to get out to wherever. So, for the past 4 months, I have travelled Xi An, Qing Dao, Cheng du, Xi Ning, and after exams, Chung Qing, Kunming, and Lijiang. Through travelling, I could meet my Chinese friend that I have met in my university at Korea in one and a half years and have changed to think of my daily life as travelling, which allows me to rest and enjoy the leisure in life. Fortunately, I could stay in China without any anxiety, partly because of the cheap prices in China (but the prices are similar to Korea if you go out to the city).

I have enjoyed every moment of this semester. And, having to go back to Korea, I feel uneasy and sad, but I think I would be able to live on with a happy heart, reminiscing the times I spent here.

Dear everyone, leave. Go for exchange or travel or wherever. Let’s enjoy and be happy!!

Soyul, from Busan Dongeui University (South Korea), currently on exchange at Xian Fanyi University (China)
