With a broad array of competitive programs on offer, South Korea’s popularity as a study abroad destination is on a steep rise. It is home to a number of highly reputable universities which are regarded as offering a world-class education.

Here are a few programs in South Korea that students can look forward to!

Firstly, we have the Bachelor’s Degree. In Korea, a Bachelor's Degree is typically a 4-year course. Majors that are most popular with international students include Music, Film, Media & Communications, Design, Engineering and Business. Many of these majors are fully taught in English and do not require any Korean language proficiency for international students to enroll in these programs!

Secondly, there is the Associate’s Degree. This is a 2-year program and it’s equivalent to studying the first 2 years of a Bachelor’s degree, suitable for students who want a shorter study period and lower cost. However, there is only a limited number of universities that offer this program.

Thirdly, we have the Visiting Student Program, which is also commonly known as the Student Exchange Program. This is where students who are enrolled in a university go over to another university to learn for 1 to 2 semesters. Modules taken at the Korean university can contribute towards the graduation requirement, subject to the student's home university approval.

Fourthly, there is the Master’s degree for students looking to pursue a postgraduate program! It is usually 1.5 to 2 years long, depending on the major you take up. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is one of the most favored programs amongst international students, with many other postgraduate programs available in both English and the Korean language.

Last but not least, the most popular program with our students is the Korean Language & Cultural Immersion program. A regular semester is typically 10 weeks long. Students who wish to stay in Korea for a longer period of time can choose to sign up for more semesters to study up to a year or more. Programs as short as 2-3 weeks are also available.

The best part about this program is having plenty of time to travel around Korea while also learning a new language and culture at the same time! This program would be the perfect choice should you wish to experience studying abroad at a Korean university but do not want to commit the 2 or 4 years required by a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
