This exclusive "Singapore Commerce, Engineering & Agricultural Program" was designed for 42 distinguished students and educators from the Chungbuk School District Board in South Korea, encompassing a diverse range of high schools which include:

Conducted in both English and Korean, our program offered a comprehensive exploration of Singapore's advancements in commerce, engineering, and agriculture. We endeavoured to provide participants with a unique blend of educational enrichment, cultural immersion and professional development, equipping them with new knowledge and skills for their future endeavours.

For the Industry Visits & Networking components, students were divided into three groups based on their majors—Commerce, Engineering, and Agriculture. Each group had tailored visits and networking opportunities specific to their field of study, ensuring a focused and relevant experience for all participants.

There are various activities that we offered to provide a multi-faceted experience of Singapore. Listed below is a glimpse of what we organised:

Industry Visits & Networking:

Participants visited leading companies and industrial hubs to witness firsthand the innovation and technological advancements driving Singapore's economy. These visits included tours of high-tech manufacturing facilities, agricultural technology centers, and commercial enterprises. Discussions with industry professionals provided valuable insights into the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in their respective sectors.

1) COMMERCE:

An example of an industry visit for students majoring in Commerce was at Flying Chalks, an award-winning Global Study Abroad Specialist headquartered in Singapore with branch offices in South Korea, Vietnam, and other locations in Asia.

Another visit was scheduled at Dive Analytics, a cutting-edge data analytics firm that provides advanced solutions to help businesses unlock the full potential of their data. Specializing in big data, machine learning, and predictive analytics, Dive Analytics empowers organizations to make data-driven decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and drive growth through insightful and actionable intelligence.
 

2) ENGINEERING:

One of the many networking events included the TOC Asia Conference. The TOC Asia Conference is a leading industry event that brings together professionals and experts from the global port, shipping, and terminal operations sectors. Held annually, the conference provides a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and discussing the latest trends and innovations in the maritime industry, making it a must-attend event for stakeholders in the Asian market.
 

3) AGRICULTURE

The Singapore Technology Farm Tour offered an immersive experience into the innovative world of agritech. Participants explored cutting-edge farms utilizing the latest technologies in sustainable agriculture, vertical farming, and precision farming techniques. This tour provided a unique opportunity to witness firsthand how technology is revolutionizing the agricultural landscape in Singapore, promoting efficiency, sustainability, and food security.

We also scheduled a a visit to the world’s first Organic & Zero-Carbon Vertical Farm. This innovative vertical farm showcases the future of sustainable agriculture by utilizing advanced technologies to produce organic crops with zero carbon emissions. Participants had the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge facilities, learn about sustainable farming practices, and witness firsthand how this pioneering approach is revolutionizing the agricultural industry.
 

Recreational and Leisure Activities:
Balancing learning with leisure, we provided a variety of recreational activities to ensure an enjoyable and memorable stay in Singapore. Participants enjoyed thrilling rides at Universal Studios Singapore and took in the breathtaking views from the Singapore Flyer. Evening activities included a river cruise along the Singapore River and savouring local cuisines at famous hawker centres.
 

Cultural Immersion Activities:
Participants had the opportunity to explore Singapore's rich cultural tapestry through visits to iconic landmarks such as the Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands, and Gardens by the Bay. We ensured that the excursions were designed to offer a deep dive into Singapore's history, architectural marvels, and natural beauty. Additionally, visits to ethnic enclaves such as Chinatown provided insights into the diverse cultural heritage and traditions that shaped Singaporean society.
