Comprising approximately 27% of on-campus university students in Australia, the land down under draws international students from all around the world. This article explores the unique experience of studying in Australia.

1. Clubs and Societies

There are a lot of different clubs on campus which can be found during the campus orientation week (O-week). Whatever your interests are, you’ll find the club for you. If not, there is always the option to start a club at the university and try to secure funding from the Union.

2. The "Work Hard, Play Hard" Culture

When studying in Australia, it is important to work hard, but also take a break and party hard. Australian universities have a strong drinking culture. So socialising and networking usually involve having a few drinks. However, people are very respectful of those who might choose not to drink.

3. World-Class Education

Educators are very helpful to international students in Australia. With both educators and students from different nationalities and backgrounds, studying in Australia will broaden your horizons to different perspectives. There are also discussion boards in each course where students can ask questions and have them addressed by either staff or peers promptly.

Australian universities are a lot of fun if you get involved with the activities available to you and make friends with other students. Those who study in Australia not only earn a degree but also gather a lifetime's worth of memories and experiences.
