Five of Australia's universities have claimed spots in the top 50 universities globally. These prestigious institutions are the Australian National University, University of New South Wales, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, and University of Melbourne. They allow students to pursue academic excellence all across Australia.

The top Australian universities are located in these respective states: Canberra, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Additionally, the University of Western Australia (ranked #90 in the World) is located in Perth while the University of Adelaide (ranked #109 in the World) is situated in South Australia. So regardless of where you plan to study in Australia, you are most likely able to enjoy high-quality education at one of Australia’s top universities!

While the array of universities may leave potential students spoiled for choice, the ideal university will depend heavily on the degree you intend to pursue or are already studying. For example, some universities such as the University of Queensland are better for research and STEM degrees, while the Queensland University of Technology has excellent offerings in creative industries.
